2020 Review - September

A health issue diagnosed in early September meant that I managed only one visit to the mountains in September. It was a day of sunshine and shade.

The path up Doan

Loughshannagh and Silent Valley

Slieve Muck from Carn

The wall from the Hare's Gap to Slieve Donard

Irish Coast Guard rescue helicopter.  Note the condensation trails from the rotor tip vortices

However, we found a spot sheltered from the wind and made the most of the lunch stop.  Hill walking doesn’t have to be all about walking!

Later in the month I managed a visit to Mountstewart where I photographed some decay.

Finally a visit to Strangford Lough for sunset.  The first two images were taken from the same location 3 minutes apart looking in opposite directions.  Always look behind you!

The final image was 20 minutes later from a different location.
